Head Coach Ivan Moya is feeling “positive” ahead of this afternoon’s USL League Two meeting with Seacoast United Phantoms.
Los Lobos have started the season with two narrow defeats, but Moya believes that the team will only get stronger as the season progresses.
“Of course, the season hasn’t started as we had planned - but there is a long way to go and we are still positive,” he said.
“We are a very young team and we must remain patient - we know it’s going to take time to adapt to this strong league.
“This league is unique because you play up to three games per week. The youth in our squad will be an advantage as the season progresses - and fitness becomes important.
“I am confident that throughout the season, we will improve and in the last few games we will see a very different team - which is much more mature and adapted to this league.
“In the last game with Boston Bolts, we started to show the best version of ourselves - so I am sure that very soon we will pick up some victories.
‘We have a very talented squad, but also a very young squad.
“I am very positive because I can see every day out on the training field the players growing and developing, both individually and as a group.
“Obviously everyone wants to win, but at the same time everyone can see our work every day and the improvement is there.
“I’m delighted to be here coaching at this exciting project, and we hope we can start rewarding our support with some positive results soon."
